Daniel Daum
- Managing Director
Prior to founding 8 Wire Capital, Daniel worked for Capital One in the
strategy and research departments. Here he worked closely with senior
management to validate Capital One's long term strategy. He also
contributed to Capital One's expansion into retail banking leading to
the $4 billion acquisition of Hibernia Corporation. Prior to working in
the strategy and research departments, Daniel was an internal
consultant
in the information technology department where he evaluated and sold
decisioning software. Daniel received his MBA from Stanford University
and his BS from the University of Virginia.
Criag Burr
- Limited Partner
Mr. Burr is a founder of Burr, Egan, Deleage & Co., a private
investment firm with over $400 million under management. Mr. Burr's
career has been devoted almost exclusively to venture capital
activities, and he has backed numerous leading growth companies in a
variety of different industries. Previously, Mr. Burr was a Partner at
TA Associates. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the
New England Venture Capital Association. He serves on the Boards of
Directors of several private companies. Mr. Burr received his BA, cum
laude, from Harvard College and his MBA from Harvard Business School.
Dave Carver
- Limited Partner
Mr.Carver is a co-founder of Search Fund Partners. He is on the
board of ProService Hawaii, iNet Interactive and VCP Health Care
Services. He is an observer of the iVize Board. David spent thirty
years as an executive in the high tech industry, and has extensive
experience in all phases of business, including M&A, fund-raising,
corporate strategy and operations. He was CEO of HiFive!, an
application service provider; CEO of Hipbone Networks, an online
collaboration company; EVP and GM at Network Associates; COO of Network
General; EIR at Institutional Venture Partners; and an executive at
Hewlett-Packard, including ten years in the professional
service/software divisions of HP. Dave has an MBA from the Stanford
Graduate School of Business and a B.S. in Mathematics from the
University of Arkansas.
Dave Dodson
- Limited Partner
Mr. Dodson is currently a managing director of Headwaters MB, a middle
market
merchant bank that serves client companies with revenue between $15M
and $300M. Mr. Dodson has been the CEO or Chairman of six middle market
companies, and has acquired and/or sold 55 companies in that capacity.
He has led multiple capital raises as CEO or Chairman with a range of
private equity firms, including TA Associates, Housatonic Partners, the
Centennial Funds, and Alta Communications Partners. He currently serves
as Chairman of Wind River Management Inc. Prior to his entrepreneurial
and private equity career, Mr. Dodson worked for McKinsey &
Company. He holds both undergraduate and MBA degrees from Stanford
University.
Bill Egan

Mr. Egan is a founder and General Partner of Alta Communications, a
Boston-based private equity firm with $1.5 billion of capital under
management. He
founded Alta's predecessor firm, Burr, Egan, Deleage & Co., in
1979, and has identified and backed several of America's leading growth
companies in the information technology, life sciences, and
communications industries. Prior to founding Burr, Egan, Deleage &
Co., Bill was a Partner at TA Associates. Bill began his career as a
Manager of Venture Capital for New England Enterprise Capital
Corporation. He is past President and Chairman of the National Venture
Capital Association. Bill received a degree in Economics from Fairfield
University and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton
School of Finance.
Rich Kelley
- Limited Partner
Mr. Kelley is a co-founder of Search Fund Partners, having started the
firm in 2004. He currently serves on the Boards of Directors of San
Francisco Legal, Celebrity Kids, H&R Accounts and Asset Recovery
Corporation. Rich Kelley has been involved in numerous small businesses
and start-up companies as an operator, owner, and investor. His varied
experience includes: CFO of Score Learning Centers, CEO of San Jose
Giants, General Partner of two small hotels (Stanford Terrace Inn and
Lake Merritt Hotel), developer of houses and subdivisions, owner of
office buildings, investor in successful tech start-ups (Coinstar, PLX
Technology, Corcept Therapeutics). Rich has an an MBA and a BA from
Stanford.
Joe Niehaus
- Limited Partner
Mr. Niehaus was a Managing Director at Hellman & Friedman before
joining Housatonic Partners in 2001. During his twelve-year career at
Hellman & Friedman, he was involved in several of the Firm's
recurring services, media and communications investments including
Eller Media, Falcon Cable, and Mitchell International. Earlier in his
career, Mr. Niehaus was employed in the Merchant Banking and Mergers
and Acquisitions departments at Morgan Stanley & Co.
He is a Director of Braden Partners, LP; California
Communications, LLC; Convergent Broadcasting, LLC; Momentum Media, LLC;
Precis Communications, LLC; and South Florida Media Group, LLC.
Mr. Niehaus is a graduate of Dartmouth College and the Harvard Business
School.
Micheal
O'Connell

Mr. O’Connell is currently the Managing Director of M2O Investments, a
family investment fund. He was formerly the Managing Director and
President of Anhalt, O’Connell & Steffanci, Inc., an investment
management firm specializing in debt securities with $1 billion under
management. Previously, Mr. O’Connell owned and operated the National
Lines Bureau, a ship mooring company for the Los Angeles and Long Beach
Harbors. He is currently an investor in over 20 private companies. Mr.
O’Connell received a BA, with high honors, from Harvard College and an
MBA from Harvard Business School.
James
Southern III

Mr. Southern is the CEO and President of Continental Fire & Safety
Services, a privately held company serving the fire suppression
industry. Previously, Mr. Southern was the Chairman and CEO of Uniform
Printing, a highly successful niche printing business, which he
purchased in 1984 in a leveraged buyout. His successful management of
Uniform Printing provided investors with more than a 50% IRR to
investors over the ten years of his tenure. Mr. Southern received his
BA from Southwestern University and earned an MBA from Harvard Business
School.
Howard
Stevenson

Professor Stevenson was recently appointed the Vice Provost for Harvard
University Resources and Planning after service as Senior Associate
Provost. At Harvard Business School he is Senior Associate Dean,
Director of Publication Activities and the Sarofim-Rock Professor of
Business Administration. The Sarofim-Rock Chair was established in 1982
to provide a continuing base for research and teaching in the field of
entrepreneurship. Howard was a founder and first president of the
Baupost Group, Inc. which manages partnerships investing in liquid
securities for wealthy families. When he resigned from active
management, Baupost assets had grown to over $400 million. He is now
co-chairman of the Advisory Board of Baupost LLC, a registered
investment company. He received his B.S. in mathematics, with
distinction, from Stanford and his M.B.A., with high distinction, and
D.B.A. degrees from Harvard University.
William
Stevenson- Limited Partner
Prior to joining Building Engines Mr. Stevenson was partner at a
boutique
commercial real estate firm in Boston, helping to acquire and manage
commercial real estate assets in the Northeast. In addition Mr.
Stevenson has 8 years of software product management and marketing
experience ranging from angle funded startups to publicly traded
software firms. He managed projects, including international equity
trading systems, asset allocation and modeling software and college
application automation process. Mr. Stevenson holds an MBA from Babson
College, a Masters from Yale University and a BS from Union College.
Will Thorndike

Mr. Thorndike founded Housatonic Partners in 1994. Prior to that, Mr.
Thorndike worked with the Walker Publishing Company and T. Rowe Price
Associates.
Mr. Thorndike is a graduate of Harvard College and the
Stanford Graduate School of Business. He is a Director of Access
Information Management; Alta Colleges; Continental Fire & Safety
Services, LLC; Carillon Assisted Living, LLC; Rapid Communications,
LLC; White Flower Farm, Inc. and a Trustee of the Groton School, the
